GWEN’s bylaws offers the opportunity for individuals and groups to experience what it is like to run a nonprofit organization, before taking the full leap into philanthropy. The past successes of Founder/CEO Tess Cacciatore include: building 38 homes in Sri Lanka in answer to the tsunami, over 1.3 million families were fed each holiday season by micro-loans for food donations, and more. Tess feels that it is important for the role of collaboration, rather than competition helps eliminate duplicated efforts, where more money can be raised to make a deeper impact.
